The Tobacco Dependence Clinic opened its doors in January 2001 to provide specialist assessment and treatment for people who want help with a problem relating to tobacco dependence.
On July 1, 2010, NJ Department of Health and Senior Services discontinued statewide NJ Quitcenter funding. Treatment functions of UMDNJ - Tobacco Dependence Clinic are being reconfigured by the UMDNJ - Tobacco Dependence Program with support from CINJ, RWJMS, and SPH.
