Latest Research

In addition to providing education, treatment, and advocacy relating to tobacco, the Tobacco Dependence Program at Rutgers-School of Public Health aims to carry out and disseminate high quality research on tobacco dependence and its treatment.

The Tobacco Dependence Program has collaborative links with the Center for Tobacco Surveillance and Evaluation Research (CTSER) within the School of Public Health as well as with numerous other healthcare agencies and research institutes throughout New Jersey. In addition to core funding from New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services, Program faculty have obtained grants from national funding agencies such as the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Association of Schools of Public

Many of the Tobacco Dependence Program faculty have a wealth of experience in carrying out and publishing cutting-edge scientific research on tobacco dependence. Some recent publications are given below.
