The Tobacco Dependence Program (TDP) is dedicated to reducing the harm to health caused by tobacco use. The TDP particularly aims to provide expertise on quitting smoking for those who need it most.
We do this through education, treatment, research and advocacy.

2007 Tobacco Surveillance Data Brief:
A Profile of New Jersey Quitcenters

The Tobacco Dependence Program provides technical assistance to staff working in specialist tobacco dependence treatment centers, known as “Quitcenters” in New Jersey. In addition to training all Quitcenter staff at our 5-day trainings, this assistance consists of consultation on complex cases, assistance with clinic data-collection and evaluation procedures, and sharing of information at bi-monthly meetings and through our e-mail list-serve.
