| Author Andrew Tobias relates that during the summer at a Long Island beach, a plane |
| flew by trailing the banner, "Newport, Alive with Pleasure." Perturbed, Tobias hired a |
| plane to trail the Newport one; its banner read, "Larry Tisch sells cancer sticks." From |
| that point on, the Newport plane was grounded by Lorillard. On another occasion, a |
| banner with "Parliament, the perfect recess" he countered with "Parliament, the |
| PERMANENT recess" and again, the ad plane no longer was flown. |

| The Barfmobile, a van carrying the Barfboro Barfing team, spent much of 1993 |
| shadowing Marlboro Adventure Team vans around the country. According to DOC, the |
| van's sponsor, Barfboro's mission is "to laugh the pushers out of town." The |
| organization is preparing a new line of official barfing team gear. |

| The organization Doctors Ought to Care (DOC) ridicules specific cigarette brands on |
| a Mad magazine level, examples being "Barfboro," "Wimpston," "Virginia Slime," and |
| "Newcorpse, Dead with Pleasure." DOC also sponsors the Emphysema Slims tennis |
| tournament. |
