Author Andrew Tobias relates that during the summer at a Long Island beach, a plane

flew by trailing the banner, "Newport, Alive with Pleasure." Perturbed, Tobias hired a

plane to trail the Newport one; its banner read, "Larry Tisch sells cancer sticks." From

that point on, the Newport plane was grounded by Lorillard. On another occasion, a

banner with "Parliament, the perfect recess" he countered with "Parliament, the

PERMANENT recess" and again, the ad plane no longer was flown.

The Barfmobile, a van carrying the Barfboro Barfing team, spent much of 1993

van's sponsor, Barfboro's mission is "to laugh the pushers out of town." The

organization is preparing a new line of official barfing team gear.
